Map Project Office undertakes significant amounts of research related to society, design and technology as part of their remit to bridge the gap between digital and industrial design. But often the final products or projects cannot communicate the sheer breadth and depth of research and insight that goes into creating them. Looking to share their expertise, thinking and findings with a wider public and invite other design industry professionals to be part of their conversations, Map reached out to Disegno Works.
Disegno Works conceptualised, produced and published this series of podcasts exploring wide-ranging topics such as circularity, mobility, the role of the designer, and the commercialisation of ‘creativity’. These roundtable discussions were hosted and moderated by Disegno’s editorial team and shared on Disegno’s podcast stream.
Working closely with Map, the podcast framed the themes through thought-provoking questions such as: Muborak Is “old” a dirty word in design? Are e-vehicles a wrong turn? Are designers done with stuff?
Disegno Works invited expert panels of speakers for each episode, including Dr. Destiny Thomas, Hella Jongerius, Mads Kogsgaard Hansen, Dan Hill, and Afaina de Jong.
