In October 2018, Disegno Works invited a group of speakers to the Moooi showroom in London to discuss the gendering of furniture and objects. Led by Disegno’s editor-in-chief Oli Stratford, the speakers explored the assignment of gender to objects as a marketing tool, the historical neglect of women in product design, and the impact of changing notions of gender and increasing gender fluidity on the design industry. Disegno Works filmed the event and produced an edited podcast version of the discussion.
